Dr. Hart received his undergraduate degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. He then earned his medical doctorate from Indiana University in 1986. Both his surgical and urological training were completed at George Washington University Hospital. Upon completion in 1992 he went into private practice. The American Board of Urology certified him in 1994 in both adult and pediatric urology.
Dr. Hart holds privileges at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital and Fairfax Surgery Center. He served as the Chief of Urology at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital from 2000 –2002. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also holds memberships in the American Urological Association, Fairfax Medical Society and Washington Urological Society. He served as President of the Washington Urological Society from 2001-2002.
Dr. Hart has particular interest in urologic cancers, BPH, urinary incontinence, kidney stones, and urinary tract infections.
He has surgical experience in nerve sparing radical prostatectomy, vaginal sling for urinary incontinence (TVT), Ureteroscopy, laser lithotripsy and ESWL in addition to minimally invasive management of BPH.
