Dr. Mobley is a warm and trusted, board-certified urologist serving the community of Fairfax, VA. He practices general urology and subspecializes in minimally-invasive urologic surgery. Dr. Mobley earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville and completed his urology residency at West Virginia University. He is one of the few urologists in Northern Virginia to undergo a two-year accredited fellowship in endourology. Dr. Mobley graduated completed his endourology fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis. Endourology, also called minimally-invasive urology, is a subspecialty that performs major urologic surgery without the use of large open incisions. These surgeries are accomplished with the use of small scopes and instruments through small incisions or the human body’s natural openings. Dr. Mobley provides a full line of minimally-invasive treatments including cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, percutaneous nephroscopy, laparoscopy, and robot-assisted laparoscopy.
Dr. Mobley has published many articles in various medical journals and presented at multiple national meetings. During his fellowship, a large portion of his research involved the evaluation and treatment of kidney cancer. He has co-authored two textbook chapters on robot-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy for the treatment of kidney cancer.
Dr. Mobley is the only urologist at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital performing laparoscopic and da Vinci robotic surgery for the treatment of kidney and prostate cancer. He sits on the Clinical Operations Committee for Northern Virginia Surgery Center and enjoys referrals from other urologists for the management of large, complex kidney stones.
